Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch takes a vacay day on Juneteenth?
– News about Quincy Massachusetts from Quincy Quarry News with commentary added
What a difference a week makes …
After going all-in with his annual Flag Day wrapping the flag around his ample middle the weekend before the one just past, it would appear that Quincy Mayor Koch did not participate in any events commemorating Juneteenth at any point during its second year as federal, Massachusetts, and local holiday.
Instead, it would appear per City of Quincy’s social media that Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s Juneteenth Day plans were to take a vacay day.

Granted, as the mayor of Quincy, Mayor Koch is also the Chair of the School Committee and thus so perhaps participated in some sort of school-based Juneteenth activities; however, Quincy Quarry News could find nothing to confirm this or any sort of comparable sort of effort by someone whom all know to be a ho when it comes scoring photo ops.
Further, the most Quincy Quincy’s lastest unpaid intern could find in the way of any Quincy-based local government or local quasi NGO involvement with Juneteenth was the heavily subsidized with local tax dollars Quincy Chamber of Commerce’s Discover Quincy website touting an unstated number of Quincy artists’ involvement with a Juneteenth event held in Milton over the weekend.
In short, yet again, Only in Quincy – or to be more accurate, apparently not anywhere in Quincy.

Did Koch bus black Quincy residents to Milton?
Of course, Koch took Juneteenth off, however, the often minorities who pick up local trash had to work on the Juneteenth holiday Monday!
Woke Koch – not!
