– News about Quincy Massachusetts from Quincy Quarry News with commentary added
In spite of Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch promising to release online his proposed Fiscal Year 2023 to the public on Tuesday while he was presenting it to the Quincy City Council Monday night, it is now Day Three of the budget book watch.
Then again, the Koch Maladministration has had a bad run with its online operations of late.
Less excusable, however, is that at least a number of City Council members have yet to receive copies of the budge per an informal Quincy Quarry sampling.
No public disclosure of the budget notwithstanding, Quincy Quarry is already well aware of serious problems with this latest round of Koched-up spending and thus the Quarry will be lodging hits to the soft underbelly of La Kocha Nostra so as to edify Quincy Quarry’s ever-growing legions of loyal readers.
At the same time, the Quincy Quarry has to acknowledge that the stuff all but writes itself.
Honest.

And today’s PL is running an article indicating that Koch is proposing to spend ANOTHER $17 million to buy vacant property at the top of Quincy Square.
I don’t subscribe to the PL (they have a paywall that I refuse to indulge) but I can’t wait to hear his rationale (excuse) for wanting to do so.
What the hell, though — it’s only more taxpayer money.
