“It’s devastating” – As Boston-area weeklies close, towns ponder civic life without local news.

As bad decisions at the senior executive level at a cobbled-together essentially nationwide conglomerate based upon approaching four-figures worth of mostly local newspapers continues to implode financially and so have had to impose yet another round of cost-cutting which will only worsen the long-decreasing range and depth of local news coverage its papers can offer, Quincy Quarry News continues to conversely grow its evergrowing legions of loyal readers as it is ever-increasing clear that the Quarry is the last local media breaking the stones of local malefactors who deserve caponing.

Quincy Quarry News looks closely when covering the news!  Very closely.

Granted, Quincy does have a solid and capable independent and primarily paper-based local weekly newspaper, this local media outlet is not willing or able to go granular on analysis and implications as can and often does Quincy Quarry News.

Plus, Quincy Quarry sees no ad revenue from local political officeholders or wannabes and thus can speak truth to power with impunity.

At the same time, Quincy Quarry News personnel are constantly rolling on the floor laughing over the fact that the City of Quincy’s economic development office is providing revenue to its e-media tech guru as he is the only game in town for expert SEO maximization.

Unclear, however, is if the City of Quincy’s economic development department has a clue about the Quincy Quarry connection.
