Quincy Best Plowed Award Repeat Winner!
Quincy Quarry News personnel hit the ever-increasingly mean and more recently also at least snow-lined streets today – a cold and crisp Sunday – to find the best-plowed street in Quincy.
And the winner for the second time this month?
The Generals Bridge that no one uses!
Also well-cleared was the Generals statuary plaza as well as the rest of the Generals greenspace located on part of once what was the Ross Garage between Hancock and Burgin Parkway.
How well-cleared?
Kim Jong Koch Plaza in front of Quincy’s two city halls was a distant second.
A very distant second.
Then again, the plaza was way better cleared than just about any residential street in Quincy other than a relatively short one in North Quincy that was almost as well-cleared and so scored a third-place finish.
Sure as hell isn’t my street!
$30 million for snow storage. Seriously.
What about Saville Ave which is right next to all this and is an entrance to the President’s Place garage? It’s been pretty bad each storm and should be important to the public.
DC
The lack of much in the way of donations to Quincy’s peerless mayor’s campaign fund from Presidents Place’s ownership per Office of Campaign and Political Finance reports and the lack of plowing of Saville Avenue are surely but coincidental.
