Snow jobbing continues at Quincy City Hall.

After burning the midnight oil last night to work up Quincy Quarry News’ blizzard stories, the Quarry’s weekend crew was a bit slow hitching up the Quarry’s dogs to the Quincy Quarry News Sled to survey the quiet after yesterday’s blizzard.

As such, it was not until roughly 9 AM today that the Quarry’s reconnoiter commenced.

While for the most part, major streets were found to be widely plowed, such was not the case with many residential streets.

Also, it would appear that the CIty of Quincy is on a low-salt diet as there were no obvious signs of salting local streets.

Accordingly, Quincy Quarry duly reached out to a well-experienced municipal snow plower who works in a supervisory position for a nearby community to inquire if there might be a reason to have not used salt on Quincy streets.

The Quarry was, in turn, advised that there was no compelling reason for not salting streets in Quincy other than to save money as well as that his municipality had been very agressively salting its streets.

The biggest discovery of the day, however, was how the City Hall and Kim Jong Koch Plaza Snow Team Six was still plowing away.

For example, while the City Hall VIP parking lot was thoroughly plowed, it too could use some salt to more readily see the lot cleared all the way down to the payment.

The same was also the case for the hard surfaces of Kim Jong Koch Plaza in front of City Hall.

Cash leaves no trail, not even in fresh snow …

Additionally, Snow Team Six had yet to see the several giant piles of snow cleared from the plaza.

Not to worry, however, as today is an ideal day for hauling out the snow piled up as well as wrapping up clearing things down to the pavement in time for City Hall’s opening up for business on Monday.

After all, the business of City Hall must continue.

Plus, what with both the New England Patriots and Tom Brady out of the playoffs, no need for Snow Team Six to hurry all that much.
