Quincy Point bar parking lot scene of multiple victims knife attack.
In yet another case of proof positive that little good happens at closing time – as if any more such proof is needed, the parking lot of a busy to a point arguably not socially distant tavern on Washington Street in Quincy Point – as well as the relatively interconnected new home of a resurrected Quincy pizza place formerly located in the Wollaston neighborhood of Quincy – was the scene of alleged violent knifings.
Quincy Police officers responded to a call at around 1 AM Saturday night or wicked early Sunday morning, depending out how one cares to view things, and so discovered three stabbing victims as well as arrested the alleged perp.
Unclear, however, is who called it in as the watering hole is said to both be a favorite haunt of local municipal first responders as well as purportedly at least once owned by a few local police officers.
In any event, words were apparently exchanged via text and/or social media and so gave rise to an agreement to fight in the parking lot.
In turn, a Quincy police officer on the scene witnessed the alleged perp throw something over a fence and that subsequently a Quincy Police Department K-9 found a knife that is assumed to be the weapon used in the stabbings.
While few other particulars were disclosed by the Quincy Police Department per standard practices, one can only reasonably assume that alcohol and pandemic-fueled cabin fever probably played a role in fueling the violence.
In any event, the alleged perpetrator is being held in custody and is expected to be arranged in Quincy District Court on Monday.
No word yet, however, if the tavern’s operating license might be suspended by local officials at least temporarily in the wake of the stabbings.
