Quincy COVID-19 infection rates mixed bag this week.
In the wake of three straight weeks of increasing infections and positive testing rates, only the local COVID-19 infection rate increased.
Admittedly, the infection rate was only up by 1% from last week’s rate as well as that the testing positive rate declined by 4%. In short, have the recent three weeks of local increases in COVID-19 cases peaked or is Quincy just experiencing a pause?
Time will tell and Quincy Quarry will be slogging through the Department of Public Health’s brand new data reporting format for community-level data and which are both hard to find as well as now presented in a not-user-friendly format for the making of comparisons with other communities.
In the meanwhile, with the number of Red Zone communities in Massachusetts up by 40% from last week’s 55 communities to now 77 communities, the touts on Quincy Quarry News’ gaming desk would suggest not betting on the under for next week.
