Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: Who needs Trump?
While many news outlets among Quincy Quarry’s media brethren are jonesing big time what with now but The Donald no longer in office and are thus eager for a fix care of his first major public appearance at this weekend’s annual CPAC conference, Quincy Quarry News faces no such withdrawal problems.
The reason for no problems: the Koch Maladministration is the gaff that keeps on giving.
That and sticking local taxpayers with the bill.
From burning through tax dollars on frivolous snow jobs to paying out premium night shift pay to Quincy police officers who work the day watch, the Koch Machine continues to take taxpayers’ money but then fail to deliver the goods.
And as for related problems facing residents of Quincy, not only has Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch resumed his rambling and now becoming even more insipid COVID-19 Update YouTube videos after a second weeks-long hiatus in early weeks of 2021, his maladministration continues to not forthrightly note COVID-19 fatalities that have occurred since the start of 2021.
Then again, as well as in all fairness, it must be noted that the City of Quincy is currently without a Department of Public Health Commissioner nor has the Koch Maladministration even but merely suggested when it might perhaps appoint a new commissioner.
Speaking of the pandemic, it would further appear that the City of Quincy is failing to address the potential for an apparently busy local watering hole becoming a local COVID-19 super spreader venue.
On the other hand, as this venue is reputed to be a fav haunt of at least certain groups of city workers, doing what the maladministration tells others to do is not something that Kochsters are not known to themselves abide.
In short, the true Quincy Way!
And in a twofer of a sort as regards noise pollution, a local Marina Bay family with ties to La Kocha Nostra was inflicting construction noise pollution out on the Tip of the Neck on a Sunday even if per local ordinances construction work is prohibited barring construction work absence approval which of course was not required for this Friend of Koch.
About the only good news is that no concrete was poured on Sunday at this construction site and so precluding an opportunity to silence warranted criticism
And speaking of pollution, the City of Quincy continues to fail to address the many years-long dumping of the biohazard that is “Goose Grease” on the Quincy High School track and football field right before track season and spring football practice are about to begin as well as right under the nose of the Quincy Police Department headquarters.
Then again, in fairness, it must be noted that this part of Quincy typically experiences an onshore breeze and thus police headquarters is upwind of the noxious smell of toxic Goose Grease.
That and surely is but a coincidence that Mayor Koch is a diehard Red Raider as well as unfortunately also a diehard in general.
Oh, and do be sure to note that the above news items are but a sampling of the vast cornucopia of local low lights for Quincy Quarry to exposé.
