Snow Job, snow pile, slush job — whatever.

While out and about on the ever-increasingly mean and sure to be heavily potholed streets of Quincy come spring, Quincy Quarry News personnel found that yet again Kim Jong Koch Plaza maintenance workers piled up frozen precipitation from the Monday into Tuesday slush storm of a nor’easter high in front of Old City Hall.

Why, however, is unclear.  After all, opting for moving the slush from the storm on the plaza’s hard surfaces onto adjacent lawns and/or the judicious use of salt could have both done just as well to clear the plaza and entrance to Quincy’s City Hall.

The fuel for Koched-up spending

That and so done so at far less cost than piling up the frozen slush that then surely froze hard over Ground Hog’s Day night and now have to be broken up and then hauled away at who only knows what costs.

Then again, perhaps that Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch does not want to see messy snow plies on his $35 million edifice complex while looking out from his imperial office suite.
