Even Sea street on the Neck is mostly clear THE Q’ING NECK !!!

Quincy dodges a blizzard.

After seeing signs of how Koch Maladministration may have actually seen solid snowstorm preparation happen, the rain/snow line during yesterday and today’s nor’easter moved a bit west of the 95 corridor and Quincy so ended up with mostly but a thin coating of sloppy slush.

Conversely, for but one example, Natick was buried under a coat of over a foot of snow and other points west were whacked even harder.

Even so, while a roving Quincy Quarry News Citizen Journalist reports that Milton is blanketed by roughly five inches of snow, Milton streets were well-cleared.

This Quarry Citizen Journalist also reports favorably about Department of Conservation and Recreation road crews.

DCR crews had by daybreak done better job of clearing even more snow on the alternative commute way that has become Chickatawbut Road in the Blue Hills than the mostly but snow jobs done by Quincy snow removal crews on but at worst slushy Quincy side streets.

Sloppy side streets in the Q notwithstanding, local residents were still lucky.

For example, the storm dumped over a foot of snow on New York City by the storm abates with as much as a foot more expected to fall before the storm abates and so grinding the Big Apple into applesauce.

DPW workers doing what they are known for doing

Even luckier, however, were City of Quincy DPW workers.

A well-positioned Quincy Quarry Citizen Field Spotter spotted many DPW workers mostly but driving around during the day on Monday and as they are wont to do every day but then they were nowhere to see after sunset and by which time they had all but assuredly maxed out on overtime pay for more than their actual time spent mostly but driving about the Q and then headed home.

At least one can only assume that they headed home as local pubs are currently not able to (legally, ed.) serve only after work adult libations, much less (again, legally, ed.) accommodate a sudden rush of DPW workers who might also be hungry given COVID pandemic capacity limits.

Things continue to be frozen in DC

And further down the 95 corridor, Washington DC was conversely ground to a near halt given but several to a handful of inches of snow as per its usual.

Not that frozen stuck gridlock is anything new in DC.

On a bright note, however, at least one DC resident is loving it.
