— Quincy Massachusetts News from Quincy Quarry News.
Quincy Remains Solidly in the COVID-19 Red Zone.
This week’s Massachusetts Department of Public Health Weekly COVID-19 update shows local COVID-19 infection rates down by 4.5% and positive testing rates by 5% from last week’s rates, the first time both COVID-19 pandemic metrics have declined during the same week since last year. Well into last year.
In other words, just barely outside of the realm of a statistical margin of error fluctuation as well as not yet anywhere near close to merely but suggesting a downward trend, especially in light of the various obvious impacts of Monday’s Martin Luther King holiday.
Simply put, we are surely at least a couple of weeks out from discerning if a downturn is actually occurring or if this week’s report cites but a hiccup.
In the meanwhile, both Hingham and Milton have moved to but the Yellow risk level this past week whereas Quincy remains solidly in the Red Zone.
Very solidly in the Red Zone.
That and a long way away from rating a Code Yellow rating.
