Not pleased. Not one bit

Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: Finally, it’s over.

Sorta/kinda anyway.

While submitting a ballot for this week’s presidential election is no longer (legally, ed.) possible at this point, actually counting all of them also not so much.

In any event, it would currently appear President Trump’s potential high water mark is two hundred and thirty-two electoral votes.

That and thirty-eight votes short of what is needed for the win.

Does Burger King now deliver in England?
A meme

At the same time, surely there is a chance for bipartisan support over the likelihood that a whole lot of pollsters will soon be looking for new jobs and probably in other fields (“Do you want to Supersize your order?”) over their so badly missing the call by projecting that Biden would win going away as well as also looking to have further mistakenly mislead many to believe that a Blue Wave would finally hit the US Senate.

At least not one care of this election as we are now looking at there likely to be two run-off Georgia Senate run-off races in early January, if not also the mother of all runoff elections.

Even so, a now likely win for Biden is a win, even if it only ends up giving rise to mass firings of oh so deserving pollsters.

In the meanwhile, Quincy Quarry continues to await release of local vote totals.

Why the delay, especially when things are pretty much preset locally?

We’re voting whether you like it but probably not
An old photo

One theory: perhaps the City Clerk’s Office is having a tough time finally doing things by the book given that federal election monitors’ yet again returning to monitor local election day voting venues over only reasonable to assume concerns about “possible” local racially-based voter suppression or at least less than proper treatment of certain demographic groups at the polls.

Granted, while locals votes will not make any difference in the grand scheme of things whatsoever, especially given the Democratic Party’s near stranglehold upon Massachusetts politics, Quincy Quarry still wants to find out how Nekkas voted in Ward i, Precinct 5 even if the Quarry already has a pretty good working hunch.

The sun will come out tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow is always a day away …
A MadTyphotography.com image

In the meanwhile, the sun came up this morning and as it did on the morning after the election as well as as it will continue to do so during what has been forecast to be an extended run of much appreciated warm and sunny weather during this latest cold time of the year as well as in the wake of the season’s first local snow job last week.

Accordingly, enjoy this pleasant run of balmy weather as there will be plenty of time to take out the wounded later.
