Keeping Kim Jong Koch Plaza thoroughly plowed

The first snow and thus the first snow job of the season hits Quincy today.

So much for Climate Change as Eastern Massachusetts was so hit with a relatively rare October snow storm even if it was well-forecast in advance of its arrival.

Additionally, while the actual snowfall over performed by an inch or two the several inches forecast for in and around Quincy, the City of Quincy both under performed as well as yet again did exactly did what could only be expected given past local snow events.

Ambulances had to slip and slide today

For example, not only were local streets left plowed, the roads were apparently not even merely but salted where they serviced first responder facilities.

On the other hand, as well as only to be expected, City Hall was thoroughly plowed as usual.

Granted, while this time the Koch Maladministration has a justification for City Hall receiving special treatment apparently not provided anywhere else in Quincy: clearing the way for earlier voters to drop off mail-in ballots rather than mailing them.

Two mini-plows for City Hall but bit even merely one for the rest of the Q …

At the same time, snowy streets make it at least a bit dicey for voters to travel to City Hall and enjoy its well-plowed access ways.

Additionally, it is only reasonable to wonder why City Hall needs not merely one, but rather two relatively new mini-tractors to plow its relatively modest amount of walkways around and to City Hall.

On the other hand, the Koch Maladministration is never one to skip on making sure that City Hall is thoroughly plowed even if it means nowhere else in Quincy is touched.

Neither rain nor snow nor sleet nor the threat of a hard freeze matter as you’re paying for it …

Further, while this long event storm was well forecast as well as that a hard freeze is expected tonight, Kim Jong Koch Plaza’s homage to Las Vegas’ Dancing Waters at the Mirage Casino and Hotel is still inexplicably in operation and thus potentially subject to freeze damage.

Then again, maybe the plan is to remind locals of their last trip to Vegas and where the house always wins and so remind them as to how City Hall always wins when it comes to tax time so that it can continue to take care of its personal priorities.
