The first lesson of Marriage 101: there are no Soul Mates.
Rom Com’s on Netflix and other streaming services notwithstanding, a successful marriage or otherwise committed relationship depends on factors other than the ethereal notion of a soul mate.
At least that is the view of a long popular course at Northwestern University.
The course posits three key factors and which is a good thing as success at all three takes effort.
The good news: the effort is worth it over the long even if it often takes a while for things to sink into him.
