A third Quincy licensed to pour victualer has been ordered to close for a deep cleaning given COVID-19 infection.
For Quincy locals seeking a South Boston experience without having to schlep into Southie, their options have been reduced as a popular Quincy Center pub is the latest Quincy provider to face a COVID-19 temporary shutdown.
That and with the third such incident in less than a week, a trend is clearly set.
In response via his near daily weekdays YouTube on Monday, Quincy Mayor Thomas Koch said the city is averaging five new COVID-19 infections each day, a level which he said was decent but “still a little concerning.”
Concurrently, a City of Quincy official reported 57 active cases of COVID-19, a level significantly increased in recent days from recent lows on a percentage basis.
Fortunately for the mayor, so far none of his favorite dining places per his campaign fund spending records have seen ordered closed for a deep cleaning.
