Miami Marlins-Baltimore Orioles baseball game postponed as eleven Marlin players test positive for COVID-19 as well as at least a couple team coaches.
First the Boston Red Sox had to go with an emergency start by Nathan Evaladi for the Red Sox season opener after Sox ace Eduardo Rodriguez was shutdown for at least while after his recent bout with COVID-19, then a Quincy High School graduation ceremony was exposed to COVID-19, and now the opening game for the Miami Marlins has been cancelled after the Marlins had first decided to play on after a third of its player roster and at least two of its coached tested positive for COVID-19.

This sort of dire turn of events was at least hinted at by a one time prospective free agent pick for the position of Commissioner of Major League Baseball as well as who was later honored as a lifetime member of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.
