Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: Fireworks finale finally near?

Enough already with the bombs bursting in air …

While one would think that the recent spate of much needed rain would dampen the long ongoing nightly pyrotechnics by pyromaniacs, Quincy residents continue to not be able to enjoy a good night’s sleep.

And now with the Fourth of July lighting up tomorrow, one can only expect that even worse is yet to come.

And probably a lot worse, if not a wicked lot way more worse.

Fireworks happen …
A Reuters file photo

While so far Quincy has yet to suffer a fireworks-sparked building fire or wildfire, Quincy police and firefighters have been light up with fireworks related complaints for weeks.

So far, however, there have been no photo ops announcements by City of Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch or his brother-in-in-law Quincy Polce Chief Paul The Beav Keenan of any major busts of fireworks traffickers, much less announcing successful sweeps that netted pyromaniacal perps.

Then again, rumor has it that the chief prefers a different manner of busts.

In any event, while City of Quincy officials are not exactly smiting the new fiery criminal element terrorizing the Q, such does not mean that Quincy Quarry News has nothing to report.

Tax money to burn …

Au contraire – Quincy Quarry is working a couple stories about the Koch Machine yet again falling to measure up when it comes to taking care of business.

Not that such should come as any great surprise to anyone who has paid attention to the all too often painfully as well as profligately obvious.

Plus, talk about the ease of fishing in a barrel full of fish with an M-100.

| quincy newsNot that anyone should ever eat a fish with powder burns.

Happy Fourth of July grilling!
