Quincy has long highlighted flags with fireworks

Illegal fireworks have become a nationwide nuisance.

As many of those with anxiety, children, combat-induced PTSD, high strung pets and/or insomnia already know all too well know, nightly firings off of unauthorized and often illegal fireworks have become a pervasive problem most everywhere from the East Coast to the Left Coast.

911 calls are up on order of sixty-fold or greater given fireworks-related calls and so all but overwhelming many police and fire departments.

In turn, it is only a matter of time before causalities, house fires and/or wildfires happen.

In Quincy, while Wollaston Beach and Squantum Point Park are favored launching pads for pyrotechnical pyromaniacs, Hough’s Neck, Quincy Point and elsewhere throughout the Q have been subjected to skyrockets’ red glare and the booms of M-80 grade bombs exploding in the wee hours of many a night.

In the meanwhile, protests by those victimized by the late night disturbances impacted are growing in intensity.

For but one example, fireworks sleep-deprived New York City residents are socially distantly surrounding Gracie Mansion, the official residence of the Mayor of New York City, late at night in their cars and honking their horns to protest this latest failure of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio to do his job.

Theories on what is fueling the skyrocketing upsurge in fireworks firings range from boredom arising from sheltering in place to conspiracy theories of a government sleep-deprivation Pysch-Ops program.

While sleep-deprivation is a proven Pysch-Ops technique, Quincy Quarry’s view is that boredom, along with more than a dollop of stupidity, are the likely reasons behind the recent explosion of pyrotechnics given that conspiracy theorists are convinced that the government is behind everything and especially those things which it did not actually do.
