Boston’s first both legal as well as minority-owned recreational marijuana shop loses $100,000 in product during looting overnight on Sunday.
The first recreational pot shop in Boston was among the many and mostly small retail businesses looted Sunday night during rioting in the city.
The co-owner of Pure Oasis in Dorchester said his store windows were broken and looters then stole about $100,000 worth of cannabis.
The store became the first minority-owned pot shop in the state when it opened earlier this year.
