Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: this time it’s personal …
The COVID-19 pandemic has finally hit home inside of Quincy’s City Hall.
Quincy’s Flag Day Parade, Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s favorite self-referential photo op event, has been cancelled out of an abundance of caution given the COVID-19 pandemic.
No idea at this point, however, if the Koch Maladministration is so reacting after seeing Quincy Quarry’s covering of the hammering New York City Mayor BIll de Blasio took over his plans to fire off fireworks on the Fourth of July.
After all, Quincy Quarry’s market research geeks have long know who among the maladministration follow the Quarry.
Numerous Koch Machine followers of Quincy Quarry notwithstanding, not even collectively will they likely ever manage to figure out how the Quarry is so adept at sussing out what the maladministration is doing in spite of its penchant for the opaque dark arts.
Truth be told, given around a head’s higher vantage point, the Quincy Quarry News crew finds it far harder to convey the absurdity of what all it finds without breaking wind while rolling on the floor laughing over it all far more difficult.
On the other hand, the Quarry was pleased to see that other area news media are finally picking up on how City Hall shovels bovine byproduct.
In particular, how a number of these other news media picked up on the less than artful efforts by the maladministration to help blame on local Walmart store managers for woefully failing to press for merely but minimal standards of socially distance retail store customer shopping practices until after a store employee died of COVID-19.
After all, city officials surely had every right to justify ordering it closed after receiving a number of complaints about socially distance shopping safety concern shortfalls and given a few quick looks..
But no, slow to duly act city officials instead opted to quickly to dump all of the blame onto Walmart given the all but assuredly externally provided expectation that the Walmart flown in crisis management duty will passively take all of the hits, tender the standard contrite statements, settle with victims on the down low and given SOP non-disclosure agreements, and then hope that things are eventually forgotten.
Or at least until low prices might smooth things over.
But not to worry as in the meanwhile Mayor Koch’s signature hair helmet continues to be meticulously coiffed at a time when many locals are stuck with seemingly endless runs of bad hair days given that barbers and hair salons were ordered to close up shop almost two months.
How, however, only his hairdresser knows for sure.
