Package stores are considered essential businesses in Massachusetts.
As the dust settles in the wake of Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker’s order yesterday to close nonessential operations for at least two weeks comes a bright light: it turns out that liquor stores are considered to be essential.
Governor. Baker says the decision “is driven by federal policy as much as anything else.”
