While package stores were inexplicably not included on the essential/to remain open list, adult libations will continue to be available for sale in Quincy at at least three supermarkets, at least one large pharmacy, and probably a number of small local convenience stores.

Also inexplicably not on the allowed to remain in operation operation list are gasoline providers, vehicle repair businesses, taxicab and rider sharing services, and commercial delivery services – although “Essential community … operations” poses potential wiggle room for some of the aforementioned not specifically noted on the allowed to remain in operation list.

In any event, following is the list of allowed to stay in operation operations:

  • Grocery stores
  • Restaurants and bars selling food and beverages for take-out and delivery
  • Medical facilities
  • Healthcare facilities
  • Law enforcement and first responders
  • Food manufacturers and their suppliers
  • Farms
  • HVAC
  • Hotels
  • Laundry services
  • Water and wastewater
  • Public works
  • Information technology
  • Financial services
  • Defense industry base
  • Chemical manufacturing and hazardous materials
  • Essential community and government operations
  • News media
