Quincy local elections results not yet posted by Quincy City Hall.
As of 10:45 AM this morning, the City of Quincy City Clerk has yet to post online yesterday’s election results.
While some may suspect a conspiracy, Quincy Quarry suspects that this delay is but yet another example of City Hall ineptitude.
Regardless, count on Quincy Quarry to monitor the situation and report back as might be appropriate.
City Hall has long been of the mindset that Quincy residents go to QATV on Comcast for information such as this. The City also thinks that it is performing a huge public service by broadcasting meetings on QATV along with information about community events and senior activities. Do they not know or not care that not everyone has Comcast? The City has an unhealthy and unholy alliance with Comcast, but many of us are smart enough to opt out of having to deal with them. Really wish the City would stop assuming that we are able to be kept updated and see council meetings when in fact we feel as if we are being punished for not having Comcast. If the City assumes that we would go to QATV for election results, they are allowing QATV to do what the City should be doing. Our elected officials should know that many of us are so being kept in the dark and no one really cares. And why would they care? They keep getting re-elected given that the fewer people who know what is really going on, the better.
DB,
A minor quibble: Quincy Quarry has long viewed QATV as “Koch Omnivision, formerly know as QATV.”
