After many weeks of Quincy Quarry reporting on the diligent efforts of a local Citizen Photojournalist smartphone photographing and then posting on social media images of vehicles illegally parking on the ever-increasingly mean as well as congested streets of North Quincy in the wake ot the MBTA closing half of its parking capacity at its North Quincy Red Line statiion, the Quarry is pleased to report that local law enforcement officials have posted on their social media site that parking control has finally cited a parking scofflaw parking illegally in a North Quincy residential neighborhood.
Jan officer just went by. Only one vehicle was still there and it had already received a ticket from the parking enforcemnt officer.

Will wonders ever cease?
Probably not given the Quincy Police’s spelling error …
Hope the cops got the guy for parking halfway into the street too. That parking job looked like someone would be running in and out of a local business — not illegally parking all day. That driver needs to not only learn where not to park but also HOW to park.
This parking job reminds me of the Woody Allen movie line when someone thought they pulled over close enough for a drop off, “that’s OK, I’ll walk from here to the curb”.
This driver needs to learn both where to park and how to park.
Ms. Plumber: in fairness to the Quincy Police Department, it is not tasked with enforcing local parking ordinances other than the occasional overnight parking abuse sweep and other sorts of rare special circumstances. Rather, parking violations in the Q are under the purview of the wholly independent as well as awkwardly named and even more curiously constituted City of Quincy Department of Traffic, Parking, Alarm and Lighting. Even so, Quincy’s male parking maids’ uniforms oh so curiously include shoulder patches noting them as Police Department parking enforcement personnel.
