Quincy man drives SUV off Quincy pier.

 

While various area print, radio and video media have reported that the driver took a long drive off of a short pier in Houghs Neck, technically the pier is on Nut Island and which is adjacent to Houghs Neck.

 

A Quincy Quarry Citizen photojournalist provided this clarification to the Quarry as well as a dramatic image of the scene

In turn, Quincy Quarry then pulled a wider pre-incident image from Google Maps.

 

In any event – as well as fortunately, the driver and only person in the so waterlogged SUV escaped the vehicle and was then taken to Boston Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. 

 

So far, however, no word has been made public as to what caused the SUV to end up in the drink. 

 

Further, while Quincy Quarry is unofficially aware as what is assumed was the causal factor, it will defer from publishing same.
