City of Quincy officials ask residents to imagine a new Wollaston at a public meeting earlier this week.
Apparently, city officials think that their variously questionable efforts to date to patch together “A New Quincy Center” are more than sufficient to now also muck up Wollaston Center.
Roughly a hundred and fifty people showed to what Quincy Quarry cannot help but view as yet another dog and pony show by the Koch Maladministration.
Particularly telling, if not also amusing, was the protracted statement made the the City of Quincy’s Planing Director in response to a question from the audience as to whether or not the City would be undertaking any eminent domain takings.
Simply put, a good rule of thumb is the longer the answer, the more dubious is its veracity.
And as for what to expect, Quincy Quarry is in perfect agreement with the comments posted by a local gadfly to the South Shore broadsheet’s coverage as to what to expect and thus sees no point to reinvent the wheel.

All I can say is “good luck” to the residents of the Wollaston area — you’re apparently in the cross hairs of Koch’s next re-imagining horror show.
I lived in Wollaston Center from 1992-2007. It used to be a vibrant area. This administration has managed to kill it during a time when the economy is healthy. I came in during the early 90s recession. It looks worse now than it did then, when store fronts all over Quincy went dark and the line at the unemployment office snaked around the block. There’s no excuse for its current state. Even though I no longer live there or have any stake in what happens to it, seeing it being neglected for what I can only imagine is some steaming pile of political bullcrap is like a thousand knives to the heart. Please don’t let this become Koch’s Quincy Center of Horrors, Part Deux.
