Massachusetts 2020 Democratic presidential nominee wannabes chastened with bad polling data.

While talked up at least recently as prospective viable candidates to pursue the 2020 Democratic party nomination for president in 2020, Senator Elizabeth Warren and former Governor Deval Patrick were hit with problematic, if not fatal, polling data.

About the only bright side of things for Warren and Patrick was that former Secretary of State John Kerry barely rated mention among the darkest of dark horse long shots.

Granted, the 2020 Presidential election is eons away per political time, prospective candidates should poll better than no better than a distant third and close following fourth in their home state as did Warren and Patrick, respectively.

Then again, Quincy Quarry has long felt Senator Warren’s long anticipated bid was a quixotic quest at best as well as viewed Patrick’s run as more likely one to instead parley into a cabinet post in a Democratic administration or perhaps the 2020 Democratic Vice Presidential nomination.

Conversely, however, while regularly saying he has no intentions of running for a higher office, much less the presidency, Republican Governor Charlie Baker polls among Massachusetts voters as the top prospective candidate in 2020 given that President Donald Trump was not in the running for reelection as well as also polls as a surprisingly strong contender if he were to opt to challenge President Trump in the 2020 GOP primary.

Key to Baker’s strong polling numbers are his bipartisan manner and for the most part fiscally conservative and pragmatic ways.

Even so, at this point Quincy Quarry views Governor Baker as far more likely to be a consensus pick to be appointed as Vice President if anything happens to President Donald Trump as well as that the Quarry’s political and other affairs desk has so parleyed attractive odds with London touts and who will make book on just about anything.
