Quincy News: Disability advocates say Red Line shuttles are insufficient

– News covered by Quincy Quarry News as well as facilitated by it.

Yesterday members of the members of Advancing Community Inclusion & Equality on the South Shore (“ACCESS”), a local disability rights group, demonstrated just how the shuttle bus service is woefully inadequate as a dozen wheelchair-bound individuals heading home from the annual Abilities Expo in Boston suffered massive delays schlepping their ways home through Quincy and on to points south for some.

In turn, the South Shore broadsheet has published a major hit piece against the MBTA over its woeful service provided for the disabled, including sticking them in the back of the bus.

Similarly, Quincy Quarry’s media brethren at Boston/Fox 25, WATD FM, WBUR and at least WBZ 1030 are also as well as variously moving forward with their own coverage.

MBTA’s excuse for Quincy Center
An mbtaexcuses.com excuse

Quincy Quarry considered reaching out to Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch for comment as he is the long ongoing Chair of the MBTA Advisory Board and which is the very entity that is supposed to address MBTA users’ concerns, however, the Quarry saw no point bothering with listening to the same old same old humina.
