Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: Go to Helsinki …
Care of yet another unarguable low, President Donald Trump’s most recent trip abroad left hundreds of millions – if not billions – scratching their heads.
First was a volatile summit with our NATO allies.
Then, after the President’s usual practice of heading out to the links for the weekend, he then headed off to Helsinki to chill with his BFF Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Needless to say, heads shifted from scratching to hyper-spinning courtesy of their post summit press conference.
Meanwhile, back in the states, special counsel Robert Mueller indicted a dozen Russians – many of whom are military personnel – last Friday.
That and then this week the feds arrested, indicted and secured a denial of bail for a gun-toting female Russian and alleged sparrow.
Russian national Maria Butina has been indicted on two charges, including acting as a foreign agent https://t.co/sv3IHkb1Rt pic.twitter.com/OvygXZ4ngc

And in state, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation was all but shamed into finally planning to audit its funding of the Massachusetts State Police eight years after securing the authority to do so.
Speaking of transportation, Quincy Quarry broke breaking badly bad news© that demolition work on the long condemned and closed Quincy Center MBTA station parking garage halted several weeks ago.
Per a reliable and well-placed Quincy Quarry resource, the reason work stopped is that apparently the general contractor on both this demolition project as well as the reconstruction of the MBTA’s Red Line station in Wollaston has been slow paying the subcontractor that is actually doing the garage demo work.
In turn, the sub then apparently decided to walk off the job.
Oh, and do be sure to note that the Quincy-based general contractor is essentially the phoenix of Modern Continental of Big Dig infamy.
What could possibly go wrong?
Needless to say, count on Quincy Quarry to exposé things whenever they hit the fan.
