President Donald J. Trump’s “marching orders” to the Pentagon: Plan a grand military parade.

 

In turn, given President Trump’s order, officials say they have begun planning a large-scale military event in Washington, inspired by France’s Bastille Day celebration, and complete with military tanks rolling through the streets of Washington DC.

 

Needless to say, President Trump’s opponents are saying that we have a Napoleon in the making.

Quincy Quarry, however, views these views as a bit much unless the President also seeks to replicate Paris’ Arc de Triomphe.

 

At the same time, the Quarry does respect the push back from the Pentagon as regards when to schedule any such such parade: while the President is pushing for the Fourth of July, the Pentagon most understandably prefers Veterans Day.
