Quincy going no salt for a White Christmas?

In the wake of spraying so much brine on Quincy streets in advance of several recent modest snow and ice events such that Quincy Bay’s salinity has on occasion perhaps rivaled the Dead Sea, as of early afternoon on Christmas Eve Quincy Quarry news personnel out and about loading on fortified egg nog found Quincy streets unsalted in advance of a forecast for a White Christmas Day morning.

One can only assume that City of Quincy Department of Public Works workers are planning to brine up things closer to the arrival of the expected snowfall per brining best practices.

Either that or are simply planning on doing so after today’s New England Patriots’ game.

Whether – or far more likely not –   someone should be driving heavy equipment after watching today’s game would be a good idea is whole other matter.
