Quincy Houghs Nekkers stuck with sticky no parking stickers.

When it comes to parking, only South Boston residents are more combative than Houghs Neck residents – and even then only after Southie car owners have dug out a parking space in front of their residences after a snow storm. 

As such, Quincy Quarry was gobsmacked to receive word that the City of Quincy is apparently actively as well as aggressively enforcing the parking rules that only vehicles with boat trailers are allowed to park in the parking lot that is a part of the (currently still, ed.) state-owned public boat landing out near the far tip of Houghs Neck.

After all, so much of how things are done in the Neck is per local tribal custom than per actual local municipal ordinances and/or state law.

Even so, one of the growing legions of Quincy Quarry Citizen Journalists advised the Quarry that the City of Quincy was having vehicles parking in the public landing parking lot without a trailer in tow stuck with a sticky sticker threatening the owner with both the towing and destroying of her or his ride.

On top of the usual problems that result whenever one threatens a Nekker – even if warranted as well as is often the case, not only are the warning stickers both large as well as especially sticky and thus hard to remove, they are not duly filled out.

As such, the City of Quincy would yet again end up on the losing end in court if any so sticky warning sticker vehicle was – in fact – actually destroyed.

Quincy Quarry considered reaching out to Quincy’s Number One Ward Heeler for comment.

Upon reflection, however, the Quincy Quarry City Editor suspected that not only is it all but impossible to reach the ward heeler at her taxpayer-subsidized day job, but also that she would not have any comment to offer.

At least not one that Quincy Quarry could publish.
