Quincy City Hall enjoys yet another snow job.
As yesterday’s nor’easter was still but bearing down on Quincy, City of Quincy Department of Public Work rolled out an equipment trailer to City Hall so as to help prepare to respond to the impending storm.
Other than signs of brining of at least some local streets in advance of an approaching major storm, however, no other obvious signs of advance snow removal efforts elsewhere around the Q were spotted by Quincy Quarry News personnel.
Later, however, not just one, not just two, but rather three enclosed cab mini snowplows spotted at City Hall yesterday in the early afternoon aggressively clearing snow at a point when there had only been a several inch dusting of what ended up to be around a foot or so of a very light and fluffy snowfall upon the Q.
So what, apparently, for the fact that City Hall had already closed for the day at noon for a snow day.
Even so, the City Hall VIP parking lot was also well-plowed.

… not just a second snowplow but rather THREE snowplows clearing snow at a closed for the day City Hall.

Less clear, however, was the condition of streets citywide both during as well as after the storm.
Fortunately, traffic was light as people were taking the Governor’s advice to shelter in place and most were so staying put – or at least off the roads.
For example, the foul weather kept the Quincy Quarry News Newscopter grounded.
Regardless, expect Quincy Quarry to continue to fearlessly cover the local news no matter what the weather.
