Missouri football players force the resignation of University of Missouri system’s President in the wake of multiple ugly racist incidents.
Also stepping down is the Chancellor of the main University of Missouri campus in Columbia Missouri.
While many college interscholastic athletes have over the years given rise to the forced departure of team coaches and athletic directors, this would appear to be at least the first time in a long time that jocks have forced senior university administration officials to resign over racism.
Sadly some things never seem to change

More importantly, the Missouri Tigers football players stood tall and proud as a team and so forced action given long festering problems within the Missouri university system.
Whether – or not – both real as well as long overdue consequential change follows unfortunately remains to perhaps be seen.
