Quincy Flag Day Parade attendance down given lack of parking?

Quincy’s long touted as the longest running Flag Day Parade in the country appeared to be even less attended yet again this year.
Possible reasons why include a severe lack of parking in Quincy Center given various running over budget and/or late construction projects as well as the long condemned and thus closed Quincy Center MBTA station garage.

Plus, while the weather could not have been nicer for those few who did come out to watch the parade, it was far less diverse than the parade held earlier in the day in Boston.

Even arguably parade spectators’ favorite – Tubby the Recycling Robot – was still meet with little more than fawning notice.

Still, most everyone loves a parade, even if it is lead by a glad handing pol desperately seeking voter approval at any cost as well as funded by and all sources with deep pockets, even if he has to help fill their pockets.
