As such, one cannot help but wonder if the City of Quincy is now stopped up or at least in need of a little fiber and/or perhaps a couple of 2 by 4’s.
For example, the “A City On The Move” sign at the top of green spaces where the expensively relocated Town Brook “daylights” has long been laying broken on the ground for weeks.
While this sign has not been on the ground for as long as Beal/Street-Works has departed the scene on the now all but stalled redevelopment of Quincy Center, one still can only properly express concern about this potential personal injury accident claim against the City lying in wait to happen.

Then again, the somewhat recently enacted local blight ordinance after the City Council had failed to complete duly fully enact several years ago apparently does not apply to the City.
Further troubling, the two extensively landscaped areas on opposite sides of Mechanic Street were the brook daylights were completed well over a year ago and yet neither have been dedicated, much less named.
As such, abutters to the Town Brook parks continue to face problems when reporting suspicious activity to police at either of the two green spaces as neither has a name.
Even more troubling, by the time police dispatchers are able to figure out where callers are referring to, there is then only a 50/50 chance that responding police officers will go to the right green space both in time and without tipping off suspected miscreants.
