Quincy High School tree danger continues to linger.

With a new school year about to start, a large broken tree limb continues to hang low from a tree on the Quincy High School campus.

This limb was broken a handful of weeks ago by high winds during a passing storm, only to be left hanging since.

Even more troubling, with Tropical Storm Hermine now bearing down on Southeastern Massachusetts as a likely Nor’easter, one cannot wonder if – or more likely not – this potentially hazardous situation will be resolved before the start of a new school year this coming Thursday.

Regardless of how things play out, count on Quincy Quarry to both monitor and probably report back on this potential menace to public school safety.
