Republicans favor Biden for Democratic nominee?
At least that is what this article on AOL.com oh so curiously claims.
Obviously, with no Republican candidates reality show debates this week, AOL had to spin up something up so as to try to keep up its ratings.

In any event, among other quotes cited by AOL, the article included the following quote from former Mitt Romney spokesman Ryan Williams: “I’d love to see Joe Biden get into the race. He would be a formidable candidate” – and which AOL itself cribed from a story in Politico.
Speaking of cribbing, there is still the old news about old allegations about Biden’s engaging in plagiarism and fabrication that forced him to bow out of the 1988 presidential race.
Plus, it is safe to assume that not only proof of these past misdeeds safely stored away in a Republican-controlled vault somewhere, so too are embarrassing pictures of Biden’s hair transplant hair plugs.
Regardless, Quincy Quarry looks forward to Joe entering the fray given his long history of comic foibles.

Further, Quincy Quarry tends to agree with the more substantial commentary in the above mentioned Politico story.
Specifically, the following passage:

Overstuffed with clowns clown car

“Republicans, sick of being derided by Democrats as the clown car party, are downright gleeful that Joe Biden appears to be squeezing in next to Hillary Clinton.

After enduring months of ridicule fueled by Donald Trump, whose frequent outrageous comments have forced a number of GOP rivals into a corner, and as a seemingly endless parade of Republican contenders have jumped into the presidential race, there’s a sense of schadenfreude at the idea of Biden mounting a late-in-the-game run and mixing up the Democratic field.

‘We’re constantly denounced as a circus, a clown show, a clown car,’ said GOP pollster Kellyanne Conway. . . “

In addition to the gaffes featured in the above video clip, Biden would be a couple years older than was long accused of less than sentient Ronald Reagan when Reagan he was first sworn into office as well as was the oldest President when he was inaugurated.

In short, worst case, if Biden were to become President, such would still be a daily double for the Republicans.
For one thing, the still lingering disses Reagan’s alleged senility would be muted.
And for the other, W’s penchant for the “occasional” malaprop and curious pronunciations would not appear nearly as, well, less than presidential.

That and at least Biden is someone whom senior Republicans could work with, if not work over, if he miraculously did (finally, ed.) end up as President.

In the meanwhile, however, the Republicans are surely not happy about how the guy from Jersey has yet to take care of The Donald.
