Quincy rat found down and out in Quincy Center after drowning its sorrows in beer?
A Quincy Quarry City Photojournalist provided the Quarry with attached pictures as well as the basis for the following Quarry story.

Early Friday morning after Thursday’s stunning vote of no confidence in Quincy’s duly embattled incumbent Mayor Thomas P. Koch, the above referenced Quincy Quarry City Photojournalist happened upon a fat rat.

While fat rats in and around City Hall are nothing new, this particular fat rat was found all but facedown in a near stupor outside of Stully’s Tavern near the four corner intersection of the but one block long roadways of Foster and Chttps://youtu.be/vtSmfws0_Tohestnut Streets, Cottage Avenue, and Dennis Ryan Parkway in Quincy Center.

As the rat was face down, a positive identification was not readily possible; however, while definitely fat, it was clearly otherwise too short to be beloved City Councillor Manatee and who is known to occasionally stop by at another nearby watering hole for a cold one on a warm weekend afternoon.
Accordingly, this reduces the suspects in at least size as well as down to the rest of the usual suspects.

As such, this rat is thus suspected to perhaps be either one among the massive population explosion of rats in the Q or a facedown City Hall fat rat who endeavored to drown his – or her – sorrows after Thursday’s adverse election results hit the fan.

Regardless of just who is this particular fat rat suspect, expect Quincy Quarry to harry Quincy’s fat rats in ways at least as driven as a chase drive driven rat terrier.
