– News about Quincy MA from Quincy Quarry News
Quincy street repaved, however, this street’s streetlights are still in street – or, to be more correct, in the gutter.
The Hancock Street misalignment project continues to plod along as well as apparently at much less than a snail’s pace as far as the many who have long suffered this long ongoing annoyance are concerned.
Even so, Quincy Quarry is behooved to report that a stretch of Granite Street that is included within this misaligned as well as widely maligned project was repaved this past week.
Still in the street, however, are half of the double streetlight poles currently in place along the northbound side of repaved Granite Street.
Quincy Quarry considered reaching out for comment from Ward Four City Councillor Brian “Double Poles” Palmucci for comment; however, it suspects that he is probably away vacation this month as he is the only local politician not facing either challengers or other sorts of newcomers running in his upcoming walk to reelection and so suffer yet another two year term on the City Council opposite his council colleague Councillor Manatee.
Conversely, the Quarry did not even bother consider reaching out to City Hall for comment as it never does comment forthrightly whenever there is a Q-up in the Q on its watch.
Plus, it is only reasonable to assume that Koch Maladministration spokesmodel Pinocchio Walkbacker is too busy spinning up overspun press releases and other sorts of equally overblown bovine byproduct for both the maladministration as well as the now obviously foundering Koch reelection campaign.
That and surely as well as furiously – if not also feverishly – dialing for dollars to feed the free-spending Koch Committee in its widely assumed to be all but doomed efforts to save duly embattled incumbent Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s clearly foundering political career.
Expect Quincy Quarry to continue its long ongoing series on streetlights in the ever-increasingly mean streets of the Q until they are finally pulled out of the gutter.
Also expect the Quarry to continue to cover duly embattled incumbent Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s political career ever-increasingly expected ending up in a gutter.
