Quincy Center will soon be losing the Falafel King restaurant as yet another local small business calls in quits in Quincy Center.
While phenomenally successful at its several locations in Downtown Boston by providing tasty Middle Eastern food for reasonable money as well as enjoying a loyal following at its Quincy Center location, Falafel King’s new landlords has refused to honor its multi-year lease with its now former landlord.

The new landlords are the two wild and crazy guys profiled recently in yet another hard-hitting Quincy Quarry exposé into the considerable underbelly of what all is going on as well as often wrong in the Q these days.
Similarly, apparently no help has been provided by City Hall  to help Falafel King relocate, claims of supporting local businesses impacted by redevelopment plans for Quincy Center notwithstanding.

Well-known gourmand himself notwithstanding, apparently the King of City Hall feels that Quincy Center isn’t big enough for two kings.
Similarly, Middle Eastern food is apparently one of the few cuisines that he does not devour.
Further troubling, unlike at least discussions in the past of at least considering providing some sort of relocation assistance by former failed Quincy Center master developer Street-Works as the center might actually redevelop, Quincy Quarry is not aware of any current plans by any of the pending new developers to assist any businesses displaced by the various pending developments.

Events are thus variously unfortunate as Falafel King’s healthy quick food, replete with all manner of wholesome vegetarian items, has found a loyal as well as considerable following in Boston’s Financial District where it operates three very popular and thus busy locations.
Fortunately for Quincy residents, Falafel King will soon be reopening up its undergoing some remodeling location in Wollaston.  This venue is roughly opposite the large Dunkin Donuts at 687 Hancock Street and thus a bit over a block south of the intersection of Hancock and Beale Streets.
In the meanwhile, Falafel King’s soon to be former landlord is apparently convinced that he can bring in, say, a 5 Guys Burger into Quincy Center and so surely curry culinary favor, if not also considerable lunch time business, with Quincy”s (current, ed.) reputedly dietary habits suspect as well as otherwise suspect mayor.
Synergy munchies potential care of the nearby New England Grass Roots Institute notwithstanding, Quincy Quarry cannot help but suspect that site location search personnel with any corporate quick food chain will likely not find favor with a munchies-based business development strategy.
