Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles fails to alert local police of suspended drivers licenses in violation of state law enacted after 2014 traffic tragedy.
As Quincy Quarry reported three weeks ago to expect, shortcomings by the Registry continue to exposéd.
In the case of the latest failure, a 2014 state law requires the Registry of Motor Vehicles “timely notify” local police of troubled drivers.
The law was passed after 20-year-old Haley Cremer of Sharon was struck and killed in June 2014 by a man who was driving with a suspended license.
While for the most part, Registry employees have recorded license suspensions and revocations in a statewide database, it has not notified local departments directly as mandated by Haley’s Law.
Needless to say count on Quincy Quarry to exposé any and all sure to continue breaking badly bad news© involving the Registry.
