Newly added to the Quincy Police Department roster K-9 Ragnar is named after a legendary ninth century Viking king.
This handsome dog is a 1-year-old Belgian Malinois, a breed renowned for all but boundless energy, fearlessness, guarding skills, intelligence, loyalty, and obedience.
Welcome K-9 Ragnar to QPD! Named after a Viking king, he is a 1-year-old Belgian Malinois. He is certified in Patrol (catches the bad guys) and EOD (explosives). Officer Ragnar graduated from the Boston Police K9 Academy and is both Patrol-trained (basically, catching bad guys) as well as EOD (detecting explosives) certified by the ATF.
