Elizabeth Warren apologizes to the Cherokee Nation for her DNA test.

The apology comes after repeated calls from tribal leaders, political operatives and her own advisers as well as relentless mocking by President Trump about her decision to take the DNA test.

Apology notwithstanding, Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren continues to stub her toe on both her long going as well as ever-fluid presentations about her now-apparently all but insignificant Native American heritage both in general as well as how such is now dogging her plans to run for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

Simply put, Senator Warren has long displayed a tin ear and even worse political instincts on this particular matter of race.

That and also appears to not appreciate how rarely does anyone ever have a second chance to undo a bad first impression.

Further harming Warren’s White House aspiration is bad timing given Democratic Virginia Governor Ralph Northam’s still ongoing blackface yearbook fiasco as well as his very much less than artfully efforts to try to tap dance his way out of this metastasizing mess.

So bad are the problems of his own doing and misdoing that the sum of things are such that they have lead to all but unheard of recently unanimous bipartisan calls for his resignation.

At this point as well as all things considered, Quincy Quarry is of the editorial mind that Warren should take note of the experiences of the late Ted Kennedy and whose seat in the senate she now sits.

To whit, after finally accepting that past actions of his and one in particular turned his presidential dreams into a nightmare, Ted finally sobered up enough and then buckled down to be the best senator he could be.

While said to be more of but a causal home brew beer drinker, Senator Warren should still opt to listen to Ted talking from the grave and follow his example of just doing her job in the Senate.

At least until she all but inevitably turns over her seat to Trey Kennedy and as is widely anticipated unless Trey instead takes over Maryland’s third senator Senator Ed Markey’s seat beforehand.
