Massachusetts State Police chief opts to retire following allegations of ordering arrest reports altered.
In a departure almost as quick as the many removed from senior federal government positions by President Trump, Colonel Richard McKeon, the Massachusetts State Police superintendent, submitted his retirement letter on Friday.
McKeon’s retirement letter was submitted Friday afternoon and thus the best time to hit a lull in the news cycle.
The resignation came in the wake of multiple media exposés by Quincy Quarry as well as various others among its media brethren that state troopers were allegedly forced to alter arrest reports involving the daughter of a Massachusetts trial court judge.
