Boston ponders building “The Big Dike”

Essentially the same people who came up with the Big Dig are now proposing to build a massive dike to protect Boston and various surrounding communities from rising sea levels anticipated to result from Global Warming.

At the same time, however, from securing even a dime in funding from a skeptical White House for merely but preliminary feasible studies to actually funding construction of the proposed Big Dike, Quincy Quarry foresees literally many tens of billions of problems.

That and so what if a recent poll by the American Meteorological Society found that while 89% of its meteorologist members believe that global warming is happening, only 30% are very worried about it.

On the other hand, it should prove interesting to see Global Warming advocates facing off against the wildlife protection advocates as well as also having to face all manner of Environmental Protection Act rules and regulations.
