Quincy Quarry series on Quincy tourism promotion gives rise to shortcomings fixed in at least City Hall?
In what is Quincy Quarry’s arguably first joint venture with a Citizen Photojournalist, Quincy’s City Hall appears to perhaps reacted to the Quarry’s recent series of exposés on apparent performance shortcomings by the Director of Tourism at Discovery Quincy, a city-funded operation operated under the auspices of the Quincy Chamber of Commerce.
The Citizen Photojournalist covertly took a picture of the rack of brochures in City Hall promoting mostly things to see and do in Quincy at the start of school vacation week last week as this brave photographer had found it rather disheveled as well as close to half empty.

Concurrently, the Quincy Quarry was then in the middle of its three part series exposing how there was not much to be found in the way of local tourism promotional material at the appropriate venues around the Q for displaying such ephemera.
When, however, the Quarry only properly sent out a news personnel to investigate this latest promotional shortcoming, it found that the City Hall tourism ephemera rack had been close to fully restocked.
This leaves only two explanations:  One is that someone duly filed the racks or – more likely – someone was directed to fill the racks.
Knowing that Quincy Quarry is closely followed, if not both monitored as well as less than appreciated within City Hall for its balanced and fair hard-hitting coverage, the Quarry newsroom consensus is that someone was ordered to fill the racks.
