Quincy Center’s expensive new traffic lights jerry-rigged?
Within but days of Quincy Quarry’s latest traffic safety exposé, both an insufficient response followed as well as that new problems have been found.
The response: the all too common quick and easy lazy response: use duct tape.   Apparently, the rush to see the new traffic lights put into service overrode duly completing the installation work.
The new problems: another one of Quincy Center’s expensive new traffic lights is missing both a tie down nut and bolt set as well as the cover for its electrical wiring access point.

Quincy Quarry news personnel also found all manner of other traffic safety concerns while watching the new traffic lights in action along the long-ongoing Hancock Street Misalignment Project.

While Quincy Quarry news personnel only watched for handful or so of minutes, a number of traffic violations, a handful of near misses and multiple one-figured waves were observed.

As such, expect follow up coverage in the Quarry on this latest brewing traffic kerfuffle in the Q.
