Quincy’s new traffic lights a potential safety hazard?
In a perhaps overly aggressive attempt to actually complete something in an allegedly timely manner, the new street lights along the still ongoing as well as long ongoing Hancock Street misalignment project are to be put into action this week as per the City of Quincy as well as has also been reported by the South Shore broadsheet.
Needless to say, this level of trumpeting peaked the noses of the always story hungry news hounds at Quincy Quarry given long ongoing street light safety concerns as well as a recent one involving a nearby traffic light.

As usual, happening onto yet another new problem was quickly accomplished and as shown via exclusive Quincy Quarry photography.
The problem: a missing nut and bolt to help securely affix one of the new traffic lights along Hancock Street which are supposed to go into operation this week.
That and the cover plate for these traffic lights’ internal wiring is also missing.
Even so, perhaps these problems will be rectified before the new traffic lights are put into operation – but probably more likely not given past non-performances.
More likely, however, there will be a short circuiting, someone shocked or perhaps both at the same when someone throws the switch on these new traffic lights.

And whatever happens, count on Quincy Quarry to cover the likely to be shocking story even if it would not be all that surprising of one.
