French police dog hero honored by Russians.
Russia has honored the selfless sacrifice of Diesel, a seven year old Belgian Malinois police dog, by giving the French National Police a pup to fill the void left by the tragic loss of Diesel in the line of duty.
Diesel was the only first responder lost in response to the Friday the Thirteenth terrorists attacks in Paris.
She died when she was sent into a room to check for survivors after an extended firefight had gone quiet and was shot by an apparently wounded terrorist.
The replacement pup is ” . . . named  after a Russian knight, Dobrynya, a symbol of strength, kindness, valor and selfless help,” said Elena Alekseyeva, a Russian Interior Ministry spokeswoman.

Big paws notwithstanding, Dobrynya has some big shoes to fill.
Perhaps more importantly, the world can only hope that this rapid and generous gesture of international goodwill by Russia will help hasten the development of the long overdue coalition that is clearly needed to address the scourge of terrorists.
For too long, far too many terrorists have wrongly claim to be the true protectors and leaders of a peaceful religion that has in recent years been all too often tragically besmirched by all manner of violent pretenders wreaking havoc upon others.
